IDC Instructors

Our teachers are energetic, knowledgeable, friendly, caring and very creative. They are dedicated instructors that prepare, support, and expose students to the disciplines of the arts in a positive encouraging environment with a goal of providing and promoting dance and dance appreciation.

Tiffiany EricksonTiffany Erickson - President, Director and Instructor

Tiffany has been apart of IDC for 14 years. She has danced ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, tap and even has taken a few hip hop classes. She is the Ballet IV/Pointe/Jazz IV/Lyrical IA/ and Jazz II teacher. She loves working with all the different age groups as she feels it's helps her to be a better teacher along with attending dance conventions and competitions. Over her years at IDC she has also been an assistant with the creative movement/pre-ballet/tiny tap classes. She is grateful for all of her dedicated, hard working students. She also graduated from Gogebic Community College with a associates degree in General Education.


Chyenne O'BrienCheyenne O'Brien

Cheyenne has been taking classes at Ironwood Dance Company for 17 years.  Dancing in pointe, ballet, lyrical, jazz and tap.  Cheyenne has many years of experience as a successful competitive dancer in groups, duets, and solos.  Most recently she was chosen as the 2013 Dancer of Excellence and Superstar of the North.  She also has a background in pageants at a state and national level that help her provide leadership, positive competition skills and promoting self confidence on stage.  She is a graduate of Gogebic Community College as a Certified Medical Assistant and plans on enrolling in the paramedic course.  Cheyenne has taught lyrical, ballet and jazz and is excited to be teaching ballet and lyrical at Ironwood Dance Company.


Maggie MeyerMaggie Meyer

Maggie Meyer has been dancing with the Ironwood Dance Company for over 10 years.  She has taken ballet, jazz, lyrical, pointe, and hip-hop.  Maggie has attended numerous competitions and conventions.  She has competed in many team, solo, and duet events.  Maggie has assisted with Ballet I and Hip-Hop Minis classes in the past and will be instructing the Ballet I class this 2014/2015 season.  She is very grateful for this wonderful opportunity and is excited for the new season to begin to share her knowledge with her young dancers. 

     Emma Tervonen

 Emma has been dancing with the Ironwood Dance Company for over ten years.  She has studied tap, jazz, lyrical, ballet, and      pointe.  For three years, she assisted with the creative movement, pre-ballet, and tiny tap classes and now will be instructing the Jazz 1 class.  Emma has participated in numerous competitions and loves dance and is excited for this season.
